Accents can be ignored in search in order to find words whose accents or diacritic marks may lack or differ across messages. This setting indicates how the search operates by default with accents. Finding accented words by a non-accented word only works on the contents for which the server-side indexer was configured accordingly (See index_words_accent_mode setting on the server).
